The Grundy County Law Enforcement Managers Association (GCLEMA) is delighted to express its sincere appreciation to CPV Three Rivers for their generous donation and ongoing partnership. In a recent show of community support, CPV Three Rivers Energy Center, a CAMS-operated facility in Illinois, purchased and donated a Traeger Pro wood pellet grill for the GCLEMA Fundraiser. This grill will serve as the first prize in the upcoming fundraiser raffle.

To mark this contribution, Christopher Harseim, Chief of Police for the Coal City Police Department, visited CPV Three Rivers in Morris, IL. Chief Harseim extended an in-person thank you to the CPV Three Rivers team. See picture with CAMS staff below.

CPV Three Rivers Energy Center is a state-of-the-art, 1,250-megawatt natural gas-fueled combined-cycle electric generation facility. This cutting-edge facility boasts a new single-shaft design, enabling efficient electric generation from each unit independently, even during maintenance or outage work on its sister unit. The plant represents a significant advancement in energy production technology and community partnership.

The donation from the CAMS-operated facility emphasizes its commitment to supporting local initiatives and strengthening community relations.

“GCLEMA appreciates CPV Three Rivers for their generous donation and partnership,” said Chief Harseim.

Kearny, N.J. – Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS), a fully integrated service provider for owners of energy infrastructure assets, announced today that Parkway Generation, a group of power facilities that CAMS provides operations and maintenance (O&M) for, celebrated five years without an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)-recordable injury. CAMS marked the achievement with a joint special event between Parkway management and union representatives in New Jersey.

“I’ve had the pleasure, over the years, of seeing this group implement grass roots improvements that have led to top-decile safety performance and ultimately this significant safety milestone,” said Ryan Paley, CAMS’ VP of Operations. “Their focus on safety behaviors has fostered a culture of comfort in peer-to-peer challenges to hold everyone accountable for safety and to make sure everyone is able to go home the same way they came to work. I am very proud to be part of this team.”

The Parkway Line of Business (LOB) Safety Council was conceived as a grass-roots effort to identify best practices in safety. The group consists of chairpersons for the union-led site safety councils and the associated plant management teams. It leverages their combined knowledge to make effective safety culture changes across the Parkway fleet. The LOB council has been instrumental in maintaining the strong safety culture that led to this great milestone.

“Ensuring the health and safety of our employees and communities is of the utmost importance for CAMS,” said Ben Vodila, CAMS’ VP of Corporate Health & Safety. “This important milestone demonstrates that safety, as a value, is deeply ingrained in the people and the processes that make up the Parkway Generation facilities.”

Parkway Generation consists of seven modern and highly efficient natural gas-fired power generation facilities that are part of a portfolio of assets managed by Alpha Generation, LLC. The Parkway fleet provides critical capacity, energy and ancillary services resources to New Jersey and Maryland near large, densely populated load centers. The portfolio represents a highly competitive fleet and one of the nation’s largest natural gas-fired power portfolios.

Mike lovino, CAMS Sr. NERC CIP Specialist at New Haven, Middletown, GenConn & Oswego, exemplifies his unwavering commitment to giving back to those who have sacrificed for our nation. Annually, he volunteers as a boat captain for a distinguished event organized by the Maj. Steven Roy Andrews Fishing Outreach Program and the Gaylord Hospital Sports Association. This biannual fishing tournament brings together 25 veterans and 25 boat captains to honor and support the veterans who have valiantly served our country.

During the recent tournament, Mike partnered with Mike Kelsey, a Marine veteran who served two tours in Iraq. Their exceptional teamwork and dedication led them to victory, with a total of 5 fish weighing 20.07 pounds. All fish caught during the tournament are released back into the waters to their natural habitat. In addition to his invaluable participation as a boat captain, Mike generously donated a guided fishing trip to be awarded to one of the veterans during the awards ceremony.

Fox 61, a television station in Hartford, Connecticut, recently featured an article spotlighting the event: Goodwill runs deep on Candlewood Lake to support local veterans
