TEMPLE, Texas – Temple Generation I, LLC (“Temple Generation” or the “Company”) is working to meet Texas’ electricity needs with its 758-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined-cycle power plant located in Temple, Texas.  The plant provides enough energy to power 750,000 homes across central Texas. Built in 2014, and equipped with modern, flexible, and efficient turbines, Temple Generation serves as a key generating resource to meet Texas’ growing demand and the changing needs of the ERCOT marketplace.

The Company successfully emerged from a Chapter 11 reorganization on February 7, 2018.  As part of that comprehensive process, pre-petition indebtedness was exchanged for 100% of the new equity interests in the Company.  In addition, Temple Generation strengthened its balance sheet and positioned its operations for future success by securing a $50 million exit financing facility, eliminating in excess of $250 million of pre-petition indebtedness and replacing, renegotiating and optimizing key commercial arrangements through the process. The Company emerged with a new independent Board of Directors and Woodlands Energy Management LLC (“WEM”) now provides executive leadership.  WEM’s Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Hudson, and Vice President of Energy Markets, Chandler Morris, also advised creditors during the restructuring process.  In addition, Consolidated Asset Management Services is providing asset management services to the plant, and EDF Energy Services is acting as the new energy manager.

In addition to WEM, Temple Generation has retained investment banking firm Houlihan Lokey to evaluate strategic alternatives on behalf of the Temple Generation board of directors.

Lafayette Consolidated Government’s Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) has appointed CAMS to perform all engineering services and operations and maintenance functions for the LUS Natural Gas Pipeline. The 10 mile, high pressure natural gas pipeline interconnects with Texas Gas Transmission and Columbia Gulf Transmission and extends from Duson, LA to two electric generating plants in Lafayette; The TJ Labbe Electric Generating Station and the Louis “Doc” Bonin Electric Generating Station. The pipeline assists in the city’s ability to deliver reliable electricity services at a reasonable rate. The Lafayette Utilities System is the largest Lafayette Consolidated Government department and provides electric, water, wastewater, and fiber telecommunications services to well over 90,000 retail customers in the region.

The Combined Cycle Journal has awarded Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS) a Best of the Best Practice Award 2017 for operating improvements made at the Woodbridge Energy Center in Woodbridge, NJ.

CAMS’ Woodbridge Energy Center leadership includes Ken Earl, Michael Armstrong, Justin Hughes and Ryan Bullock who collectively developed and implemented four plant wide initiatives. The initiatives include a heat trace troubleshooting system which resulted in a labor savings of 50 man-hours per week, a quench water system that saved the plant $30,000 a month, an Arc Flash determination, labeling and PPE system which significantly increased Arc Flash safety, and a contractor safety guide program designed to materially deter future safety violations and incidents.

Since 2014 CAMS has earned 36 Best Practice Awards inclusive of this year’s achievements.

HOUSTON – Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS) proudly announces that Kathy Patrick, Vice President of Human Resources, was awarded “Best Boss In Town” for the Energy Service Management category hosted by Burnett Specialists.

With 2016 being the inaugural year for the “Best Boss In Town” awards, Burnett Specialists received over 150 nominations. This award was created as a way for employees to honor their bosses’ outstanding achievements. Kathy was nominated by her team for her fairness, compassion, and ability to utilize others at their maximum potential. An awards ceremony was held at the CAMS Houston corporate office on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, where Kathy was presented with the award on behalf of Burnett Specialists District Manager Ruth Reading and Operations Manager Michelle Waldron.

Kathy Patrick has more than 20 years of human resources experience, with over 15 years of her experience in the energy industry. She is responsible for human resource and administrative functions company-wide. Kathy leads CAMS employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits and recruiting programs. Before joining CAMS, she held Human Resources Management positions with Enron and Reliant Energy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Letourneau University; she is a past Board of Directors member for Texas Executive Women and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.

HOUSTON – The Combined Cycle Users Group (CCUG) announced that CAMS Juniper, LLC – Corona Energy Partners Facility Plant Manager, Wayne Kawamoto will receive a 2016 Individual Achievement Award. The award will be presented at a joint luncheon for attendees of the Combined Cycle, Steam Turbine, and Generator Users Groups on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, in San Antonio.

Individual Achievement recognition is earned by industry professionals who have demonstrated excellence throughout their careers in the design, management, construction, operation, and/or maintenance of generating facilities powered by gas turbines.

Mr. Kawamoto is being honored for his career-long commitment to create and grow the Western Turbine Users Group, Inc. (WTUI), which began in the break rooms of Southern California’s power producers in the early 1980s. Mr. Kawamoto is a proactive supporter of owners/operators in rectifying design shortcomings of early aero-powered generators and has served as Treasurer of the WTUI since its incorporation in 1990. Today, WTUI hosts over 1,200 attendees at their meetings and conferences, an impressive increase from the four attendees at the first meeting.

Mr. Kawamoto was selected by the CCUG’s Awards Committee chaired by Andy Donaldson of WorleyParsons. Committee members include Jimmy Daghlian of NV Energy and Brian Fretwell of Calpine.

HOUSTON – Combined Cycle Journal (CCJ) held its 11th annual Best Practices Awards earlier this year recognizing Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS) with one Best of the Best Practices Award and nine other Best Practices Awards. This year, CAMS tied with another operator for the most awards.

CCJ has established nine award categories and are judged by a panel of operations professionals every calendar year. They consider which improvement offers the greatest benefit to the industry given today’s demanding goals of improving performance, reliability/ availability, safety and reducing costs, while satisfying the regulatory requirements promulgated by EPA, NERC, OSHA, regional grids, etc.

“This is a great honor for CAMS and all of our dedicated employees to be recognized again as an industry leader in turbine maintenance and operations,” said CAMS CEO Joseph Sutton. CAMS walked away with awards in the following categories: Performance Improvements and Operations and Maintenance. While operated by CAMS, SEPG was awarded nine Best Practices Awards.

Waterside Power Holdings, LLC
Performance Improvement

The facility upgraded the HMI to enable automatic start of its three units. Since the HMI automation the plant has responded to 29 fast start emergency dispatches without a failure.

Effingham County Power
Operations and Maintenance

Root-cause analysis of bearing failures in the plant’s ammonia blowers led to system modifications along with maintenance and operational alterations. The site has not experienced such a bearing failure since implementation.

Plant staff developed and implemented procedures to cost-effectively and efficiently undertake the in-house calibration of almost 400 instruments at the facility.

Effingham equipped combustion turbine thermocouples with a new insulation design ensuring higher reliability and ease of maintenance on instrumentation prone to premature failure.

Problematic and unreliable process sample lines from the plant’s HRSGs were replaced with a new sampling system that is more accessible to personnel and easier to maintain.

Monroe Power, LLC
Performance Improvement

Control system logic modifications for water injection valves to control NOx eliminated inadvertent unit trips, increased equipment life, and conserved water.

Modifications to cable trenches in the plant’s switchyard led to the prevention of any accidental damage to equipment and enhanced personnel safety by eliminating trip hazards.

Mid-Georgia Cogen
Performance Improvement

Implemented control logic changes to automatically control the plant’s ammonia flow control valve to effectively maintain NOx emissions within permit limits to ensure compliance during transient operation.

Walton County Power
Performance Improvement

A fuel-gas piping modification and addition of automated valve assembly eliminated unit trips during shutdown and improved operator safety and efficiency.

Washington County Power
Operations and Maintenance

Test switches installed on the CEMS control panel enables operators to conduct monthly tests quickly and safely without disrupting the plant’s electrical system.

CAMS and Endeavor Energy Enter Shared Services Agreement for Selected African Power Generation Projects

Consolidated Asset Management Services, [22 July 2014] – Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS) and Endeavor Energy Power Holdings (Endeavor) have entered into an agreement to jointly provide operations and maintenance and asset management back office services for selected power generation facilities being acquired and developed by Endeavor in Africa. Together, CAMS and Endeavor Energy will provide services that include:

• Site personnel training, documentation, and procedure development;
• Implementation of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Quality Assurance, and maintenance processes and procedures;
• Parts, tooling, supplies and inventory management;
